The manual of style is still unfinished because the wiki does not have any templates and articles yet.

Keep in mind that these policies are ultimately guidelines. If it's found that a policy restricts something that the reason the policy was created didn't intend to restrict, then the policy should be changed.

This is the Rules of Survival Wiki's Manual of Style. All articles should be following this so that the wiki will be in uniform state.

  1. All articles must have an introductory part of at least one (1) paragraph. This will be used when an article is chosen to be the featured article and it will also give the reader more interests in continuing to read.
  2. Please use correct grammar, punctuation and tenses.
    1. All content should follow the subject-verb agreement. For example, if the subject is singular then the verb must also be singular (eg. "The dog barks") but if the subject is plural then the verb must also be plural (eg. "The dogs bark").
    2. All content should be in past tense. Present tense is only applicable to doctrines, spiritual beings and unfulfilled prophecies. A list of exceptions is to be made.
    3. All content should be in third-person point-of-view. Avoid using "I", "you", "we", or "us" in articles because they can only be used in discussions, talkpages, and other non-article materials.
    4. All sentences should be in declarative form. The articles of this wiki is stating a fact or making a statement so using imperative, interrogative and exclamatory forms are not allowed (there might be exceptions).
  3. Content should use the proper infobox for each article (if necessary). A guide is located below.
  4. Other necessary templates can be found here.

Main article: Help:Infoboxes

Infoboxes are like fact sheets or sidebars in magazine articles; designed to present a summary of the topic of the page. They present important points in an organized and quickly readable format. Infoboxes are generally made using templates, to create consistency across a community.
